Check out this video. It serves as a reminder of how we should all be approaching marketing in our businesses.
Adam Davis is an internet marketer who has turned his experience of setting up a business into a riveting narrative - reminiscent of reality TV. This serves numerous functions. Firstly, it promotes his business. Secondly, it promotes him (who’d have been talking about him otherwise). Finally, it acts as a template for the use of new media in marketing.
It’s also pretty entertaining.
I’d hire him.

What a dick….He actually thinks his testimonial is worth something.
Why do Seek need testimonials? They are already so far ahead it is not funny…
He is obviously a Genius…

There are a couple of insights from Adam’s blog, not least that he managed to generate 41 applications to his ad within a very short space of time, principally using video as the medium in his SEEK job ad.
There has been a lot of noise over the past few years about GenY jobseekers, but we’ve only really just started to see GenY recruitment advertisers like Adam appear.
While the generations that came before are still writing newspaper advertisements for online, Gen Y advertisers truly starting to maximise the potential of the internet medium, and appear to be reaching the right jobseekers in the process.
